Britain's men's hockey team are in action against Spain and there's also badminton and tennis.

    S2024 E3 Hazel Irvine presents further live coverage of day one, including the women's and men's cycling time-trials from Pont Alexandre III at 1.30 and 3.30 respectively. Primoz Roglic won Slovenia's first cycling gold medal in the men's event at the last Olympics, and Great Britain's Josh Tarling is one of the contenders for his crown this time around, on a challenging 32.4km course. Roglic pulled out of the recent Tour de France through injury, but is expected to be among the challengers once again, along with multiple global medallist Wout van Aert of the Netherlands and two-time world champion Filippo Ganna of Italy. Annemiek van Vleuten of the Netherlands was victorious in the women's event in Tokyo, with reigning world champion Chloe Dygert of USA one of the main contenders this time around. There is also action from the semi-finals of the men's rugby sevens at the Stade de France, with reigning champions Fiji expected to be involved.

    S2024 E4 Clare Balding presents live coverage of the concluding events from day one in the French capital, including swimming finals at La Defense Arena. The women's 400m freestyle final at 7.55 could be the highlight of the session, with reigning champion Ariarne Titmus, Katie Ledecky and Summer McIntosh combining to own the 28 fastest times in history prior to the Olympics. It is followed in the pool by the finals of the women's and men's 4x100m freestyle relays at 8.37 and 8.50 respectively, and Adam Peaty continues the defence of his 100m breaststroke title in the semi-finals. Elsewhere, the men's rugby sevens final takes place at 6.45 at the Stade de France. Fiji won gold at the previous two Olympics but the host nation have enjoyed their best season in this format of the game, inspired by the presence of former World Rugby Player of Year Antoine Dupont.
