He must travel 341 miles along the world's longest desert highway in less than 47 hours and as extreme fatigue sets in, he starts to nod off while riding, swerving off the edge of the road. Stopping in a lay-by for food and rest, he can't sleep because of his overactive mind and decides to keep riding through the night as he heads for the finish line in Qiemo.

S17 E6 Jeremy Clarkson and James May set out for the seaside in electric cars the Nissan Leaf and Peugeot iOn, stopping off in Lincoln along the way. Louis Walsh gets behind the wheel of the Reasonably Priced Car, Richard Hammond meets an extraordinary rally team in which everyone, from mechanics to drivers, is an amputee with a military background, and the Lamborghini Aventador is taken out on the track.

S18 E1 Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May put three supercars through their paces in Italy. Their weapons of choice are the 691bhp Lamborghini Aventador, McLaren's hi-tech MP4-12C, and a British brute in the form of the Noble M600. The journey begins at Nardo, a high-speed testing ground so vast it can be seen from space, and includes a nerve-racking drive in Rome before reaching its conclusion with a timed challenge against the Stig at the Imola circuit.

Beginning their quest in Lyon, the pair discover the origins of haute cuisine, before heading to a farm for an introduction to the famous poulet de Bresse. They also enjoy chicken dishes created by some of the country's finest chefs, and then head for Dave's new home in Northern France to prepare a feast for his neighbours. Finally, the boys arrive in Paris, where they cook an iconic French casserole, coq au vin, against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower.

Finally, in the harbourside village of Mousehole, Rick meets a potter who finds inspiration from the local landscape.
