S1 E2 In 1501 the people of Florence turned on the radical priest Savonarola, burning him and declaring Florence a republic. Against this backdrop of political upheaval, Michelangelo and Leonardo jostle for artistic supremacy as they vie to secure the best commissions, but the arrival from Urbino of young prodigy Raphael Santi threatens both men.

S17 E17 The six remaining chefs must impress rising culinary star Victor Garvey, owner and chef at his Michelin-starred restaurant SoLa in London, with two bite sized snacks before serving a dish to the judges that brings back thoughts of a special occasion.

In spring, he and a team of arctic survival experts manage to find a birth den and meet mother Lyra and offspring Miki and Luca as they emerge from it. Gordon then helps scientists fit the adult with a tracking collar and tests a bear-proof filming hide as he takes on the mission of living with the family.

The duo then enjoy a swim in one of Britain's oldest lidos, which has an award-winning restaurant serving up a delicious breakfast. Escaping to the countryside, they visit a hotel and restaurant where Fred makes buffalo mozzarella, while Michel samples the hotel's own cider, before a return to the city and the multicultural neighbourhood of St Paul's, where they learn to cook Caribbean jerk turkey.
